Two men suspected to be child traffickers are in the custody of Tamale Police for allegedly trafficking about eleven children, eights girls and three boys from a village called Kuntumbiiyili in the Zabzugu district of the Northern Region to Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
All eleven children are pupils and were identified by their teachers.
The police took the children to guest house to spend the night and took their details.
Detection of child trafficking cases in Ghana has increased in recent times. There are cases where parents of these children sell them to the traffickers for money.
Hopefully, the government and the police service will put measures in place to put an end to child trafficking in Ghana.
