He stated;

“We are facing a huge increase in Covid-19 positive cases and the disease initially, children were said to spread it. We had 14 active cases the whole of last year, but this year, within two weeks in January, an increase number of 10 active cases have been recorded. He told JoyNews.”

The Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is the only paediatric referral from the northern region of Ghana.

“The Covid strain we are currently facing is actually affecting children dastically. If in two weeks we are still receiving 9 cases, we wouldn’t know where we will be heading to, as we speak our spaces are full.” says Prof Antwi
