Prominent Ghanaian-American plastic surgeon, Dr Michael Obeng, has successfully removed the Gorilla Glue Spray used by a Louisiana woman to hold her hair down after she ran out of hairspray

Ghanaian-born plastic surgeon, Dr Michael Obeng, performs a procedure to remove the Gorilla Glue Spray from Tessica Brown’s hair. After several attempts to remove the glue out by herself and a trip to the emergency room, her viral video prompted Dr Obeng who offered to help remove the permanent bonding adhesive.

The surgery went well. Tessica is doing well. She is awake and the hair crew is doing her hair,’‘ Obeng said Wednesday, adding that ”It’s unmatted. It’s untangled.” The procedure normally costs more than $12,000 (GHC69,543.44) but was done for free. Brown is recovering after Dr Obeng successfully removed the Gorilla Glue Spray adhesive.

Tessica Brown went viral on social media after she posted videos on Tik Tok on February 3 expressing regret for using the permanent glue on her hair after she ran out of hairspray.
