The New Patriotic Party(NPP) foot soldiers of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency are demanding for the immediate removal of the Municipal Chief Executive.
The foot soldiers have appealed to President Akufo-Addo and other important stakeholders not to retain the MCE, Sandra Ahenkorah. According to them, the MCE did not live and do her work up to their expectations with regards to development in the municipality.
Annor Fosu said the division in the party under her tenure of office caused less development in the constituency. He said as president Akufo-Addo is starting his second term, he should do well to appoint an MCE who is ready to work for the development of the party in the municipality. This, according to him, will encourage the people within the municipality to put their best foot forward to ensure that the party’s objectives are achieved in the next four years.
He added that not only did she bring about division among party members, but also had land related issues and corruption allegations attached to her office and her very self. Annor appealed to Akufo-Addo to appoint an MCE who will have the party’s ideologies at heart, a well deserving MCE who will work hard for grassroot and foot soldiers to work and live together in harmony. Speaking in an interview with UTV, one of the foot soldiers said they have had enough of Sandra since she has served her first term already.
