Kanye West, an American rapper, record producer, fashion designer, and politician is said to have ‘cut off’ his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and is making her go through his security after switching phone numbers.

He has been influential in the 21st-century development of mainstream hip hop and popular music in general. According to Page Six, the 44-year-old rapper, who suffers from bipolar disorder, allegedly blocked Kim, 40, before she announced their breakup.

A source told the outlet: “Even before Kim filed for divorce, Kanye changed his numbers and said, ‘You can contact me through my security’.”

The source continued: “Despite this, she trusts him around the kids. He loves them and is seeing a lot of them. She leaves the house and he arrives and hangs out with the kids. They have an army of nannies so the transition is easy.”

Kim filed for divorce in February after hiring celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, after months of speculation that their marriage was ending.

She is requesting joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children. The former couple spent months hashing out the details of their divorce before officially filing in February, figuring out how to divvy up their finances, property, and custody of their four kids. According to the source, despite the pair’s billion-dollar fortunes, money matters were easily dealt with thanks to their prenups. “It was an easy case of ‘You keep your money and I’ll keep mine,’” they explained.

When it came to their Hidden Hills mansion, however, things got a little more complicated. “Kim owns all the land around the house, but Kanye had bought the house himself, then they split the cost of the renovations. Kim fought to keep the place because it is their children’s home, and she won,” the source said. “Kanye of course has his ranch in Wyoming, but he has recently been in LA recording and working so he comes to visit the kids regularly. But she’s not shuttling the kids up to Wyoming and back.”

They have a combined fortune of $2.1 billion, and thanks to a prenup agreement they signed before getting married in 2014, they won’t have any trouble sharing it.
