GES Directs Achimota School to Admit Rastafarians

Ras Aswad Nkrabeah, a father of a teenager with dreadlocks and a Rastafarian has claimed that his son has been denied admission into Achimota School because of his natural hair. He disclosed in a post on his Facebook page that his son and one other child were denied admission into the prestigious public school by authorities of the school.

After this went viral on social media, people called on Ghana Education Service, GES to do soething about their predicament.

After scrutinizing the laws of the Constitution and that of Education, GES has decided that the children be allowed to go to school with their locks.
