Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello reportedly had their home in Los Angeles broken into. TMZ reported that last week the thieves were able to steal Mendes’ car, a Mercedes G-Class SUV, after they broke into the home via a window.
Mendes, 22, and Cabello, 24, were also reportedly home when the incident occurred but weren’t harmed. The couple has been dating since July 2019.
No arrests have been made but authorities are looking for the suspects. According to law enforcement sources that spoke with the publication, Shawn and Camila’s shared home in the California city got broken into while the couple was still inside.
The burglars allegedly entered the property using one of the windows but left promptly upon discovering both singers were home. However, The thieves made a quick exit but not before stealing the keys to the G-Wagona and making way with thenMercedes-Benz G-Class SUV.
According to TMZ, Los Angeles police were called to the house at once, but no arrests have yet been made. The LAPD are still investigating the case, but it doesn’t look like Shawn and Camila were harmed during the incident. (Teen Vogue has also reached out to the couple for comment.)
Meanwhile, Shawn – who has been dating Camila for two years – previously admitted it took five years before he realised he was in love with her.
Watching back a clip from a joint interview the couple did in 2015, years before they became an item, Shawn said: “It’s really hard [to watch it back]. I remember that. I didn’t even accept that I was completely in love with her.
“Three years after that is when I finally admitted it, and another two years after that was when I decided to do something about it.”
