Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin and Disney Channel actress Brenda Song have welcomed the birth of their first child, Dakota.

The couple welcomed their first child, son Dakota Song Culkin, on Monday, April 5, at 1:10 p.m. in Los Angeles, weighing 6 lbs., 14 oz., PEOPLE confirms. Culkin, 40, and Song, 33, named their newborn after the actor’s late sister Dakota.

Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin is an American actor. Regarded as one of the most successful child actors of the 1990s, he was placed on VH1’s list of the “100 Greatest Kid-Stars” and on E!’s list of the “50 Greatest Child Stars”.

Dakota died at age 29 after being accidentally struck by a car on December 9, 2008, in Los Angeles.

“We’re overjoyed,” Culkin and Song said in a brief statement about the arrival of their first child.

Esquire was the first to report the baby news.

Culkin and Song met on the set of Changeland in Thailand and were first romantically linked when they were spotted out in July 2017.

Song, in the same interview, said: “Truly what makes Mack so special is that he is so unapologetically Mack.

“He knows who he is, and he’s 100% okay with that.”

Song is perhaps best known for her role as London Tipton, the heir to a hotel chain, on the Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack & Cody – but she has since had a string of roles, including in comedy Dollface.
