Months after getting banned from Twitter and Facebook for repeatedly disseminating lies about the 2020 election and inciting a riot at the Capitol, the former commander-in-chief on Tuesday unveiled a new website that will allow him to communicate directly with his supporters from one place: “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump.”

Donald John Trump is an American media personality and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Born and raised in Queens, New York City, Trump attended Fordham University and the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 1968.

Users will be able to like posts – and also share them on Twitter and Facebook accounts. The move comes a day before a decision is due from Facebook’s Oversight Board on whether to permanently ban Mr Trump.Mr Trump’s senior adviser, Jason Miller, had previously said a new social media platform was to be launched. “This new platform is going to be big,” he said in March.

This is just a one-way communication,” a source familiar with the new platform (blog) told Fox News . “This system allows Trump to communicate with his followers.”The launch of the new blog/website came after reports that Trump was planning to launch his own social media platform .

For years, Trump took to Twitter to offer his thoughts on just about every issue under the sun – both before and while he was president.Trump’s use of Twitter while in the White House was extremely controversial. His tweets had major consequences – they moved markets, raised fears of nuclear war, and falsely convinced millions of Americans the 2020 election was stolen.
