Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has asked the Black Stars of Ghana not to be intimidated as the face Portugal in a Group H match at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar
He believes that Ghana has a great squad to compete at the highest levels and therefore it will be imperative that the players believe in themselves to conquer the world.
The Vice President was speaking in a video shared via his social media handles.
He said “the moment has come for the Black Stars to take on the world. We have a group of Talented players who have been selected and they cannot be intimidated by anyone. I want to urge the Black Stars to go on and play their heart out for mother Ghana. We can stand the world. We have done it before and we can do it again. They should go out and emulate the historic deeds of their predecessors”.
Ghana begins the World Cup Journey against Portugal on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
The Black Stars intend to bring back love through its performance at this year’s World Cup after a poor show during the AFCON where they could not win a single game.
